Types of Operations
KRD offers a wide range of operation options to suit your specific needs. Those available include; hand chain, manual push-up, hand crank, and motor operated doors.
Curtain
Interlocking steel slats roll‐formed from commercial quality hot‐dipped galvanized (G‐90) steel per ASTM A‐653. 24 Gage steel is standard. Doors exceeding 16’0” may require 22 gage steel. Slat designs from large curved slat, large flat slat, perforated large slat, and small flat slat
Guides
Guides consists of roll‐formed 10 gage galvanized (G-90) Steel U‐Channel Guides 3” or 4”
Barrel
KRD offers 4”-12” diameter barrels engineered to deflect not more than .03" per foot of width. Torsion spring assembly consists of oil‐tempered, helical torsion springs, and grease packed and mounted on a continuous steel torsion shaft to counter balance the weight of the curtain.
Designed for Maximum Space Saving
The upward coiling action of KRDOORS minimizes the space required for door operation. When fully open the door will not inhibit wall space, use additional overhead area, or interfere with the interior of the building.
Installation
KRD products have been specifically engineered to ensure ease of installation without the need for special equipment. KRD offers continuous mounting angle construction along with fully assembled door curtains, counter-balance assemblies and other components which will significantly reduce installation time and expensive field labor. Full installation instructions and attachment hardware are furnished with each door. |
